Now we are on the run up to 2025's event announcement, let's look back at what was truly a standout year for our Rollhard x Bicester Heritage event. The build-up to the event was hectic, with an overwhelming number of applications flooding in, leading us to close them a month earlier than expected. However, as crazy as that rush was, the sheer quality of the entries didn’t really hit us until event day. The process of narrowing the selection to just over 1,000 show cars was no easy feat, but on the day, as you all rolled in, it became clear this year would be something truly special.
Every year, we strive to improve the show’s infrastructure and add new elements to enhance the experience. This year, we made one of the most exciting changes yet introducing two parades around the site. With both, The Gentsuki Gentleman’s Club and Lay'n'Play featuring static displays in 2023, it felt only fitting to add some motion and energy to the event by organizing these parades. The result was nothing short of spectacular. Seeing these cars in motion added a dynamic energy to the event and made for some of the best content we’ve ever captured at Bicester.
What made this year even more special was the sheer dedication of those who traveled to join us. Enthusiasts and builders from afar made the journey to Bicester, with cars rolling in from Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Poland and beyond. The sight of these stunning machines, many of which had crossed international borders, added a global flavour to the show. Your commitment to travelling such distances fills us with pride, that the RHxBH show is worth the many hours of driving. It highlights for us that the event has evolved into a truly international affair.
This year, we showcased a special selection of handpicked cars that truly stood out. AM Speed joined us, bringing an impressive trio of famous E30 M3s. Also on display were Baxter's '83 Mustang drag car and Sumo Power's Nissan GT-R GT1 car. These rare vehicles aren’t typically seen at our events, but our goal was to bridge not just the differences in our own culture, but the diverse corners of automotive culture itself.
As we look back on RHxBH 5.0, it's clear that each year, we continue to raise the bar—and the support from all of you makes it possible. This was our best year yet, and it’s thanks to the incredible passion and dedication of the community. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds.
We will continue to curate RHxBH with the same passion and dedication, ensuring that you can enjoy cars for what they truly are, regardless of the badge they wear or the style you’ve chosen to embrace. In a world that moves faster every day, we aim to slow things down and offer an experience that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of automotive culture. Hosting the show at the UK’s most picturesque venue, Bicester Heritage, provides the perfect backdrop for this.
The Favourite 10 awards have become an increasingly difficult task to execute, with so many incredible builds on display. Truthfully, we could have easily handed out 30 awards on the day, but we remain committed to keeping the recognition exclusive and meaningful, ensuring that earning one remains truly special.
A massive thank you to Oli and Josh of Carbon Collective for once again supplying the award goodies, as well as to Fudge To You for providing the "world’s best fudge" a sweet touch to enjoy on the drive home.
Lastly, and by no means least, a massive thank you goes out to the incredible team who help run the show on the day. Their dedication and hard work are a huge part of what makes RHxBH one of the best-organized events on the calendar. From managing the influx of show cars to ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, their attention to detail especially when it comes to parking up cars is second to none. The seamless execution of the event is a direct reflection of their commitment and passion, and we couldn't have done it without them.
